Duane obtained his Master’s Degree in Psychology through the Applied Analysis of Behavior program at Drake University in 1981 and became Licensed in the state of Iowa in 1985.
He did his undergraduate work at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He attained extensive experience while working at the Woodward Resource Center, Polk County ARC, ChildServe, Broadlawns Medical Center and Easter Seals, and has gained approximately 36 years of experience with providing services to individuals with mental retardation/intellectual and developmental disabilities’ along with related mental health issues.
Duane has a strong background in assessment of infants, children, adolescents, and adults, with special needs; including intellectual, adaptive, educational, emotional, and behavioral aspects of psychological evaluations for Waiver services.
He also has a strong background in applied behavioral analysis and behavior management services to adolescents and adults, with intellectual/developmental disorders and associated mental health issues, as well as individuals with autistic spectrum issues or developmental disabilities.
He joins the Innovative Learning Professionals with a strong desire to provide quality services in behavioral therapy and intellectual/adaptive assessment and to keep an eye on Best Practices and new developments in the field of treatment, so that each individual can realize his or her highest possible level of achievement/self-reliance. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
